As such, the company wanted to have their designed in human AB serum product aliquoted into ready to use bioprocess single use bags to eliminate on-site aliquoting workflows and ensure aseptic integrity.
GeminiBio collaborated with the company to outline their specific requirements, which included a transition to GeminiBio’s GemCell Plus Xeno Free human AB serum, as well as packaging 100mL of the finished product into custom 100mL bioprocess bags that had been validated for frozen sera product.
GeminiBio also worked closely with the company to implement specific secondary containment and shipment packaging, as well as electronic data loggers, to ensure finished product integrity during delivery to the company’s southeast Asia facility.
As a result, the company was able to receive “ready to use” product, eliminating the pre-production workflow steps and reducing contamination risks.
