GeminiBio, which operates in West Sacramento, California, is growth-focused and is expanding and enhancing its manufacturing capabilities driving toward higher quality and compliance standards commensurate with the needs of the commercial therapeutic space. GeminiBio is augmenting its product portfolio through acquisitions, internal innovation, and partnerships.

 

Key Responsibilities:

·        Leader in the production areas that drives the execution of production objectives, while creating an inclusive culture that energizes a Safety First, Quality Always, with a continuous improvement mindset.

·        Coordinates and supervises the daily activities of direct reports.

·        Plan, coordinate, manage and control manufacturing operations to ensure adherence to production plans and GMPs.

·        Ensure compliance to SOPs, Batch Records, Quality Systems (Deviations, Change Controls, Corrective Action /Preventative Action), and Protocols. Perform investigative work on production discrepancies, deviations, and other such matters relating to manufacturing.

·        Plan and coordinate the production schedule for the manufacturing team to meet needs for products.

·        Inventory management: timely ordering of consumables and materials used in manufacturing.

·        Process improvements resulting in lower costs of goods sold, better quality, and higher productivity

·        Training of manufacturing personnel to ensure consistency on critical processes

·        Interface with the business development team to successfully incorporate custom manufacturing requests and partner agreements into the production schedule.

·        Help with hands-on daily activities and documentation, as needed.

·        Additional duties as assigned.

 

Required Skills and Experience:

·        Four-year degree in a relevant field (e.g. Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry).

·        Detail-oriented and highly organized with effective time management skills

·        Knowledge of good manufacturing practices and good documentation practices, including generating standard operating procedures, documentation review, and inventory control

·        Ability to multi-task, perform under pressure, adapt to changes (e.g., priorities and timelines), and work in a fast-paced and quickly changing environment

·        Highly collaborative; able to work well within multidisciplinary teams

·        Desire to improve processes and step in to help wherever needed

·        Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required

·        Displays understanding of and promotes company and customer objectives

·        Readily adapts to changing job duties

·        Works well in a team environment

·        Detail oriented

·        Willing to learn new tasks, skills

·        Responds quickly to assignments

·        Positive attitude

·        Independently can lift, dispense, push and/or pull items of up to 50 pounds on a routine basis

·        Must be able to stand for long periods of time

·        Capable of strenuous, repetitive, physical work, including bending, reaching, climbing ladders, kneeling and making numerous equipment connections using hands.

·        Must be able to work in a cold environment (-20ºC)

·        Must wear clean room attire
